At the doorstep to Your Abode
Must be more than a coincidence that Hallelujah is always sung on rainy days down in the underground station I frequent, fuzzing up my heart.
And though the singer doesn't know it, as I step foot on the escalator and hear his soulful singing, recognising my most favourite of songs, a smile which starts at the soul is sent to the face. And I walk past him with a heart full of awe and sincere thanks. And he doesn't know the effect it has had. And doesn't know that there is now someone making dua for him on their journey home.
Labels: alhamdulilah, Allah, hallelujah, hymn, the tube, underground, ya illahi
