A reminder of where we are all destined to go. We tend to forget or avoid the subject of death. But its closer than we can imagine.

On the authority of Ibn 'Umar, radiyallahu 'anhuma, who said: The Messenger of Allah, sallallahu 'alayhi wasallam, took me by the shoulder and said:

"Be in this world as though you were a stranger or a traveler/wayfarer."
Ibn 'Umar used to say:
"When evening comes, do not expect (to live till) morning, and when morning comes, do not expect (to live till) evening. Take from your health (a preparation) for your illness, and from your life for your death."

Sis thats some pretty deep stuff.
You know when you're just chilling and doing nothing.
Then you come across a blog entry like this LOL.
Its like a smack in the face!
My brain just told me "what are you doing sitting down dumbass, do you realise that you never get a second of the time you lost"

I thank you for the reminder.
Now I'm out like Byker, byker, GROVE!

May Allah forgive our sins, and keep us on the straight path.
May Allah give sister Anjum and her family lots of blessings, and make them dwell in paradise together, inshaAllah.
